It was a delight to highlight these gold grasses at the foreground of the Colorado Springs and Air Force Academy foothills. Pike’s Peak is also in view.
The U.S. Air Force Academy sits at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains near Colorado Springs, Colorado. It boasts of being 7,258 above sea level, far far above that of West Point of Annapolis.
This painting is part of the USAFA class color series releasing in 2024. It's also a landscape that can stand alone as a piece of art in any collection.
