This painting features Yost Plaza, a prominent outdoor ceremonial area between Wecker Hall and Doolittle Hall at the U.S. Air Force Academy. The Plaza features an 11-foot-tall, 5,500-pound replica of a U.S. Air Force Academy class ring and includes the area of the historic marble statue of Pegasus, an original gift to USAFA by the Italian government in 1959.
It was a privilege to paint this piece in commission by the Air Force Academy Foundation and Association of Graduates as a small thank you to generous donors philanthropic supporters R. David Yost (USAFA 1969) and his wife, Jean Yost, presented surrounding the opening ceremony on July 24, 2026.
